In recent decades, since it was built, Solana has become home to flamingos, one of the rarest and most endangered bird species in the world.

The population is growing, and from about 30 individuals more than 10 years ago, we proudly declare that today there are more than 500 of them.

It became a nature park in 2019.

In addition to flamingos, about 260 species of birds, mostly migratory, live on the Ulcinj Solana.
