In recent decades, since it was built, Solana has become home to flamingos, one of the rarest and most endangered bird species in the world.

The population is growing, and from about 30 individuals more than 10 years ago, we are proud to announce that there are more than 500 of them today.

It became a nature park in 2019.

In addition to flamingos, the Ulcinj Salt Pan is home to about 260 species of birds, mostly migratory.
